Why have a Patient Participation Group?

From April 2016, it has been a contractual requirement for all English practices to form a patient participation group (PPG) during the year ahead and to make reasonable efforts for this to be representative of the practice population.

The group’s primary role is to champion patient perception. It acts within the following framework:

Can You Help? - The Respite Association

Take the quick (very quick!) poll from Healthwatch Lincolnshire - What would encourage you to share your views after visiting your GP?

What is a PPG?

Patient participation is a unique partnership between patients, GPs and their practice which is essential to and results in high quality and responsive care.

The Patient Participation Group meets every two months with our next meeting set for Tuesday January 16 2018.

The Group works closely with the practice in ensuring that the voice of the patients is heard - is there anything you would wish us to put forward on your behalf? Whether you wish to compliment staff, comment or voice a concern, we would like to hear your views. Please use our Contact Form
